The NSC at recent events Q2 2021

Thursday, June 24, 2021

Throughout the second quarter of 2021, the NSC team continued to have strong engagement with job seekers at a number of virtual and physical events across Australia.

We spoke with hundreds of people at the Career and Employment Expos in Adelaide and Perth, Land Forces 2021 in Brisbane and the Resources Technology Showcase in Perth.

In May, the NSC team were invited to speak at a key event for Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply’s (CIPS) South Australia and Northern Territory branch where they provided an informative update on how the NSC is helping industry build Australia’s Naval Shipbuilding workforce and discussed the array of procurement and supply job opportunities in shipbuilding.

In April, the team joined Defence SA at Engineers Australia’s Fellows Breakfast event to provide more understanding on the broader benefits of engineering in South Australia and how engineers can help enhance Australia’s shipbuilding capability.

We hosted a webinar with special guests from Right Management about how to build your personal brand. The webinar provided tips and guidance on how to put your best foot forward in the naval shipbuilding job search. If you missed it, you can now watch it on demand via our YouTube channel.

During the latter half of 2021, the NSC will be talking to high school and university students about the exciting pathways available into a long-term career in shipbuilding.

There are many opportunities to engage with our team so be sure to keep up to date with our latest events and updates on our social media channels and website.
